How to set up Reprice Schemas

Reprice schemas allow you to price your items automatically. When you run a price check in SellerEngine Plus, the software connects to Amazon and retrieves information in the form of buckets about other listings and sellers of your item. Based on the reprice schema you have created and applied to the item, SellerEngine Plus assigns a price for your item.

Create schemas using the Reprice Rules Wizard

From the Inventory menu, choose 'Reprice Rules Wizard'or just press Ctrl+R

Step 2

Here you can select the filters you wish to use. To see the available filters, click on the Add button. There are many filters you can add, try one or several that make sense for your pricing model.

RRR-Step-2.png

Filters allow you to determine which other sellers' information your listings will be compared with for pricing purposes. To add a filter click 'Add', choose one of the filters from the list, and click 'OK'.

Note: SellerEngine Plus now automatically excludes your items from the list, no need for a special filter! This way you are sure not to get into a pricing war with yourself.

To change the order of the filters, select the filter you want to move, and use the green 'Move Up' or 'Move Down' button.

Step 3

Define lower and upper limits. To add a limit, click on the Add button. Limits are not mandatory, but they can help users control the repricing process so that your prices will not go lower or higher than a specific amount. You can set up an upper limit to not price your items to 3 million dollars accidentally if you're pricing against a drop-shipper.
In order to set up lower limit based on a Minimum price like your Paid Price, make sure your Paid Price is noted in your inventory for each item.

RRR-Step-3.png

There are several options to base your limits on:

  • My Price
  • My Paid Price
  • Minimum Item Price
  • List Price
  • Lowest New Price
  • Lowest Used Price
  • Lowest Collectible Price
  • Lowest FBA price
  • Lowest non FBA price
  • Buy Box Price
  • MegaSeller Price (like Amazon)
  • Flat Amount

Limits can be set to be equal, lower or higher than the amount selected above by either X percent or X dollars/pounds/euros. You can also use the radio button to select to apply these limits Before or After filtering. These can always be edited or deleted any time you wish.

Once finished, hit Next and move to the following step.

Limit type Description
Lower Limit Sets a minimum for the price SellerEngine Plus will assign to your item. If the price determined by your repricing rules falls below this number, SellerEngine Plus will use the Lower Limit you set instead. If no other sellers are offering your item and the price you have already assigned to the item is below the lower limit, then the price will be raised to the lower limit. If your price is above the lower limit and there are no other sellers for your item, the price will remain the same.
Upper Limit Sets a maximum for the price SellerEngine Plus will assign to your item. If the price determined by your repricing rules is higher than this number, SellerEngine Plus will use the Upper Limit you set instead. If no other sellers are offering your item and the price you have already assigned to the item is above the lower limit, then the price will be lowered to the upper limit. If your price is below the upper limit and there are no other sellers for your item, the price will remain the same.
  • Limit will be lower, higher, or equal to the 'Price to base limit on' value you have chosen, and by how much (flat amount or percentage).
  • Click 'Next'. The limit you created is added to the list. Add, edit, or delete the limits you create in the same way as your filters. When you are ready to move to the next screen, click 'Next'.

Step 4

The Reprice Action screen appears:

RRR-Step-4.png

  1. On the Reprice Action screen, create the rules which will tell SellerEngine Plus how to use the data it has retrieved and filtered to create a price for your item. This screen has four sections:
    • Referenced Price:
Average price for all remaining buckets - Which will be calculated  after SellerEngine Plus applies the filters you have previously selected.
      • Weighted average price of the remaining buckets
      • Lowest price
      • 2nd Lowest price
      • 3rd Lowest price
      • MegaSeller  price (like Amazon)
      • Lowest FBA price
      • Lowest MFN price
      • BuyBox price
If the reference price you chose above is not available then: Use no competition is available (use exceptions on next step) or use
      • Average price for all remaining buckets
      • Lowest price
      • Weighted average price of the remaining buckets
    • Set my new price to:
Choose how much lower, higher or equal to the referenced price to price your item(s). Set whether you want to raise or lower the price by a percentage, a flat amount of currency, or by a combination of both percentage and currency amount, which you specify.
    • Add price+shipping to final price, regardless of any previous rules:
    • Schema Name:
The name of this set of rules. This should be descriptive, and should not include any special characters. The Schema Name is used as a part of the file name for the reprice schema, so that it may be stored in your file system.

Step 5

For special cases you have the Exception Rules. Select what repricing action you want to take using exception rules for the following scenarios:

- If I have the Buy Box for this item

- If I am the only seller for this item

- If there are no other listings for my item in the same condition

If any of the exceptions above apply, then you can click on the check-box to be enable the Edit decision button. You can calculate the new price based on:

  • My Price
  • My Paid Price
  • Minimum Item Price
  • Maximum Item Price
  • List Price
  • Lowest New Price
  • Lowest Used Price
  • Lowest Collectible Price
  • Lowest FBA price
  • Lowest MFN price
  • Megaseller Price (like Amazon)
  • Buy Box Price
  • Flat Amount

The Item Price can be Lower, Higher or Equal to the price above by X Percent or X Dollars/Pounds/Euros.

If you mark the checkbox Ignore defined limits the limits you have set elsewhere will be ignored if you are the only seller.

exception-rules.png

Next, you need to decide whether you want these exception rules to be applied before or after the filters set in Step 2

Now that you have set up the last step of the repricing rule you can click Finish to have your settings saved.

A pop up opens and asks if you'd like to add this rule to ALL of your items that don't currently have a rule assigned to them. If you'd like this new rule to be applied, click yes. Otherwise Click no and assign the rule manually to the items you'd like it to apply to.

Note: You may assign the schema to items through the edit dialog later.

You are now ready to run a price check.
